Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 5 September 2026

This policy is part of the Terms of Service. It applies to everything you send through Amino Engine, everything you store in it, and every page you point a recipient at from one of our emails.

Why it is stricter than most. We built this platform for peptide and research compound brands, because the mainstream providers throw them off. That only works if we are harder on ourselves than they were. Every mailbox provider judges our sending infrastructure as a whole. One brand making a therapeutic claim or mailing a purchased list does not get itself blocked — it gets everybody on our infrastructure blocked, and there is nobody at Gmail to call.

So: read this, and take it literally.

1. Consent — the rule everything else rests on

You may only email a person who agreed to hear from you. That agreement has to be real, specific and recorded.

Banned outright, with no exceptions:

  • Purchased, rented, leased, traded, or "co-registration" lists.
  • Scraped or harvested addresses — from websites, social media, directories, forums, or anywhere else.
  • Appended addresses — taking a name or phone number and buying the matching email.
  • Lists you inherited with an acquisition, unless the consent came with them and you can produce it.
  • Addresses collected for one purpose and used for another — a shipping-address field is not a marketing signup.
  • Adding somebody because they emailed you, bought from you, or attended something, where they were never offered the choice.
  • Re-adding somebody who unsubscribed, however long ago.

What we expect you to be able to show, for any address, on request: where the person signed up, on what date, and the exact wording they were shown. The platform records that wording for signups it receives, so use it.

Silence is not consent. A pre-ticked box is not consent in the EU, the UK or Canada. A checkbox that says "I agree to the terms" is not consent to marketing.

If you are importing an old list, tell us before you send to it. We would rather help you warm it up honestly than clean up after it.

2. The law you have to follow

You are responsible for complying with every law that applies to you and to the people you email. That includes at minimum:

Where Law What it means in practice
United States CAN-SPAM Accurate headers and subject lines, a physical postal address in every message, a working unsubscribe honoured within 10 days.
Canada CASL Express or clearly documented implied consent, sender identification, an unsubscribe honoured within 10 days.
EU / UK GDPR and PECR A lawful basis, usually opt-in consent for marketing; a privacy notice; the ability to answer access and deletion requests.
United States TCPA Applies if you ever send SMS. Express written consent, specific to marketing. A transactional-SMS tick is not it.
Everywhere Your own sector rules Whatever governs how your products may be described where you sell them.

Also comply with the rules of the country you operate from, and of any country you deliberately market into.

3. Honest sender identity

  • The From name and From address must identify you, accurately and recognisably. Not a person who does not exist, not a mailbox provider's name, not a lookalike of another brand.
  • Subject lines must describe the message. No fake "Re:" or "Fwd:". No fake order confirmations, shipping notices, delivery failures, security alerts or payment problems used to get a marketing email opened.
  • Include a real physical postal address in every marketing message.
  • Send from a domain you control and have authenticated with us. Do not spoof another domain, and do not use free-mailbox addresses as your From address.
  • Do not disguise, obscure or redirect links to hide where they go.

4. Product claims — the peptide-specific part

This section is the reason the policy exists. Research compounds are not medicines, and you may not describe them as if they were.

You must not, in any email sent through us or on any page you link to from one:

  • Make medical or therapeutic claims — that a compound treats, cures, prevents, diagnoses or mitigates any disease or condition; that it heals an injury, reverses ageing, causes weight loss, or improves a named medical outcome.
  • State or imply FDA approval, clearance, registration or endorsement, or any equivalent from another regulator. Registering a facility is not approval. "FDA-registered" on a product claim is a violation of this policy.
  • Present a research-use-only compound as suitable for human consumption — including dosing instructions for people, "how to take it", protocols, before-and-after photos, or reconstitution guidance framed for personal use.
  • Use patient or user testimonials describing a health outcome.
  • Compare a compound to a named prescription drug in a way that implies equivalence or substitution.
  • Sell or promote a compound to a jurisdiction where it is a controlled or prohibited substance.
  • Describe compounded, prescription, or scheduled substances as available without a prescription.

Do include the disclaimers your own jurisdiction requires — research use only, not for human consumption, not evaluated by any regulator — and make them legible, not four-point grey text at the bottom.

Do not put health information about an individual into the platform. Not in a contact's name, attributes, tags, notes, segment names or event payloads. It is special category data under the GDPR, we do not want it, and the DPA forbids it.

We are not your regulatory adviser. This list is a floor, not a compliance programme. Get advice for your own market.

5. No marketing to minors

The service is for marketing to adults. Do not knowingly collect data about, or market to, anyone under 18. Do not use imagery, language or placements aimed at minors. If you learn a subscriber is a minor, remove them.

6. Prohibited content

Do not send, host, or link to:

  • Anything illegal where you are or where the recipient is.
  • Malware, phishing, credential harvesting, or any attempt to deceive a recipient into handing over money or information.
  • Adult sexual content, or content promoting violence, self-harm, terrorism, or hatred against a protected group.
  • Counterfeit goods, stolen data, or pirated material.
  • Firearms, explosives, or their components, where prohibited.
  • Illegal drugs, or the sale of prescription medicines without a prescription.
  • Get-rich-quick schemes, pyramid or multi-level marketing recruitment, "work from home" offers, gambling, payday lending, cryptocurrency investment pitches and binary options.
  • Content that infringes somebody else's trade mark, copyright or other rights.
  • Anything that harasses, defames or impersonates a person or organisation.

Do not use the platform to attack it either: no attempting to bypass sending limits, break tenant isolation, probe or overload our systems, resell access, or scrape the app.

7. Unsubscribing

Every marketing message must carry a working unsubscribe link. We add the List-Unsubscribe header so the one-click button in Gmail, Apple Mail and Outlook works, and our unsubscribe page takes effect immediately — no login, no confirmation step, no "are you sure".

Do not remove, hide, obscure or break that link, charge for unsubscribing, ask somebody to log in to unsubscribe, or route the link to a preference centre that does not include a plain "stop everything" option.

Once somebody unsubscribes, they are on that account's never-send list. Re-importing them does not clear it, and trying to clear it deliberately is a serious breach of this policy.

8. The numbers that will pause your sending

We measure your complaint and bounce rates continuously and the platform acts on them automatically, without waiting for a human. These are the current thresholds:

Measure We slow you down at We stop marketing sends at
Spam complaints (as a share of delivered mail) 0.10% 0.20%
Hard bounces (as a share of sent mail) 1.0% 2.0%

Two things to understand about those numbers:

  • The complaint numbers are Gmail's and Yahoo's, not ours. They publish 0.10% as the level bulk senders must stay under and act around 0.30%. We stop you well short of their cliff, because arriving at it is already too late.
  • The bounce numbers are ours. No mailbox provider publishes a bounce threshold; a bad rate just degrades your reputation quietly and continuously. We picked a line because a system with no line keeps sending into a list that is provably dead.

Below 500 sends in the measurement window the gate stays open, because one annoyed recipient out of ten is not a signal.

When marketing is stopped, transactional mail keeps flowing. Somebody who paid still gets their receipt.

If you hit a threshold we will tell you what happened and what to fix. Persistent or repeated breaches, or a blocklisting caused by your traffic, can lead to suspension.

9. What we will do if you break this policy

Depending on how bad it is, we may: contact you and ask you to fix it; slow your sending; pause marketing sends on your account; suspend the account; or close it under section 8 of the Terms.

Where the risk to other customers is immediate — a purchased list, a spam run, a spike in complaints, a phishing template — we will pause sending first and talk to you afterwards. We are not going to let one account cost every other brand their inbox placement.

We may also be required to act by a mailbox provider, a blocklist operator, or one of our own providers.

10. Reporting a problem

If you have received mail through us that breaks this policy, or you think an account is abusing the platform, tell us at support@aminoengine.com. Include the full message with its headers if you can. See our Anti-Spam Policy.

11. Changes

We will update this policy as the law, the mailbox providers, and the product change. The "Last updated" date at the top is always current, and we will tell customers before a material change takes effect.
